A CAPELLA

The A Capella choir is a mixed choir which performs music from all musical periods. This auditioned choir consists of sophomore - Senior Women and freshman - Senior Men. Members must have previous choral experience; solid grades and the ability to sight read and move quickly through fast-paced rehearsals

Bella Voce

Intermediate to advanced level choir designed for ladies who have demonstrated an understanding and mastery of basic to intermediate choral music skills. All-Region Choir auditions, and/or participation in UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest is recommended. Students are encouraged to participate in other musical opportunities throughout the year.

Concert Women

Made up of freshman, sophomore, Junior and Senior women. This choir works on vocal pedagogy, quality choral literature, sight reading and music reading skills, choral etiquette, theory and music appreciation. Concert Women will perform at UIL Concert& Sight Reading Contest if eligible.

Encore (Show Choir), Dr. Jane Andrews, Director

A choir made of varsity choir members performs selections from Vocal Jazz, Musicals, Pop selections Madrigals and Chamber Music. This choir is made up of choir members who pass the audition. Auditions will be held during the first two weeks of school. Members must be mature and dependable due to the excessive amount of performances throughout the community both during the school day and many evenings. Members are expected to keep their grades above passing and are responsible for making up all school work missed due to performance schedules.
